The Center for Craniofacial Research & Diagnosis (CCRD) primary mission is to foster scientific discover through the integration between clinical and basic research both within the College and with affiliated health centers.  Thus the CCRD serves as the home for the basic and  translational research enterprise within Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. The Center provides a fertile environment for growing the translational research programs at the College.

Specific Goals:

  1. To increase the number of extramurally funded investigators at Texas A&M University Baylor College.
  2. To continue the development of expertise in clinical research and increase clinical research funding at Texas A&M University Baylor College.
  3. To increase and foster interdisciplinary collaboration with the craniofacial clinical programs at area hospitals to promote the growth of translational research opportunities.
  4. To use the Center as a forum for interdisciplinary collaboration between faculty, alumni, and friends for the purpose of reaching the above goals.
