Caruth Alumni: The Alumni Association needs your help. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene in 2005, a permanent display is being created of group photographs for each of the dental hygiene senior classes. BDR Online Submission deadline for the January/February 2006 issue is Jan. 10. BCD faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit professional and personal news for publication in the Baylor Dental Record Online, BCD's online newsletter. Some submissions may be held for other publications such as the Baylor Dental Journal, the college's annual magazine, or C-Scan, the quarterly newsletter of The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center. To submit news or for more information, send an e-mail to recordonline@bcd.tamhsc.edu. Fund-raisers Breakers: A Coffee House and More is located on the B-level adjacent to the student lounge. The coffee bar offers a variety of drinks including coffee, tea, latte, espresso, frappuccino, smoothies and more. A percentage of the proceeds benefits BCD Student Council projects. Obituaries Gerald Brooks passed away, and his services were held Nov. 5 in Birmingham, Ala. He is the brother of Dr. Ernestine Brooks, associate professor and director of student development. Helen Hall passed away, and her services were held Oct. 18 in Garland, Texas. She is the mother of Gwyn Sullivan, administrative assistant in facilities services, and the mother-in-law of Tom Sullivan, accountant in financial services. Dr. Nicholas H. Lund passed away, and his services were held Nov. 3 in Dallas. Lund was professor emeritus and former chair of the fixed prosthodontics department. He retired from Baylor College of
Dentistry in 1982 after 28 years of service. |
