Patient Information

Patients are an integral part of our educational program at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry. By treating patients in our general dental clinic and four specialty clinics, our students receive important hands-on training that equips them to be outstanding dentists.

Prospective patients are thoroughly screened and then matched with students based upon the students' educational needs. Students must have a wide range of treatment experience to fulfill their course requirements.

In general, we accept patients needing comprehensive treatment as opposed to those who require a single procedure. However, due to the large volume of patients seeking treatment at HSC-BCD, not everyone will be assigned dental students.

The scope of your dental issues will be determined through a preliminary screening conducted by the dental school. Screening appointments are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, please call our patient information line at 214-828-8441.
