Primary Responsibilities

Assists in the presentation of the basic pharmacology curriculum for dental and dental hygiene students, including pharmacotherapeutics, local anesthesia, and pain and anxiety control (sedation); Faculty for OMS Predoctoral clinic; CPR Instructor for the BCD AHA BLS Training Center.

 

TaylorAfter completion of his residency training, Dr. Grogan entered private practice as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Waco, Texas. After 13 years of successful practice, Dr. Grogan chose to enter academics and was invited to join the Faculty as a replacement for the dentist-pharmacologist that retired and had not been replaced.

Since then, Dr. Grogan has participated in all aspects of the Predoctoral pharmacology curriculum and helped develop new continuing education opportunities for dentists in North Texas. He was an instrumental participant in designing new sedation and emergency guidelines for Texas dentists, on behalf of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
