Primary Responsibilities

Serve as Faculty in the OMS undergraduate clinic, participates in the Faculty Private Practice Clinic (Professional Services), and assists with the undergraduate and graduate curricula.

Dr. Frohberg is a graduate of the University of Düsseldorf School of Medicine and Dentistry in Germany. He practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with special emphasis on cosmetic facial surgery. He began working with BCD residents on a part-time basis in 1994, splitting his time between Dallas and Düsseldorf for several years, but assumed full-time status in 1999 at the department's request.

Dr. Frohberg's research interests included craniofacial characteristics in sleep apnea and habitual snorers, and hydrodissection techniques in facial rejuvenation surgery. Dr. Frohberg lectures internationally on the topics of implantology, orthognathic surgery, cosmetic surgery, and treatment of sleep apnea. Annually, he leads a group of doctors to Mexico on mission trips to treat patients with cleft lip deformities in under served areas. He also organizes continuing education courses on sleep-related breathing disorders, guided tissue and bone regeneration, implantology with Brånemark appliances, and other similar topics. Dr. Frohberg works closely with the BCD residents, teaching them the art and science of cosmetic surgery.
