BCD students, faculty and staff can gain access to all BHSL resources (except UpToDate) from off campus using the BCD proxy server. You can login to the proxy server using your BCD email address and password. Note: be sure to use the full email address, i.e. jdoe@bcd.tamhsc.edu
If you find resources that are unavailable to you via the proxy please let us know. |

Use the VPN to access the library's web site and resources (except UpToDate), and to access the school's network drives. The BCD VPN software and instructions on installing and configuring the software is available online.

BHCS VPN |
All BHCS personnel may purchase access to the BHCS VPN, which will provide access to all library resources (except UpToDate). To use the VPN you must install special software on your off-campus computer.

MyBaylor EMR |
Baylor Health Care System physicians and others with access to the MyBaylor EMR physician's portal, may access Ovid Medline and all Ebooks, Ejournals and databases available from Ovid.
- From the MyBaylor page click on the MyBaylor EMR link in the top right corner. Click the Reference link in the middle of the top menu bar.
- Links to the Ovid resources are on the left.

All BHSL Patrons:

Texshare is a Texas-wide library consortium which provides access to several Ebsco and Proquest databases, many Ejournals (view a list of Ejournals available through Ebsco and Gale), newspapers and more. Patrons with a library card can can contact the Circulation Desk in the library and get a UserID and Password that will allow them to connect to Texshare resources from off-campus.
Note: you must have a library card in order to be given a Texshare UserID/Password. |
