Gerald N. Glickman is Professor and Chair of the Department of Endodontics and Director of Graduate Endodontics at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He received an M.S. degree in Microbiology from the University of Kentucky in 1975, a D.D.S. from the Ohio State University in 1978, a G.P.R. Certificate from the University of Florida in 1979, a Certificate and M.S. in Endodontics from Northwestern University in 1984, an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1988, and a J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University in 1994.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics (ABE), has served as a Director of the ABE, and is past President of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Glickman has served as a member of the test construction committee of the Joint Commission of National Dental Examiners, is a consultant for the Commission on Dental Accreditation, is the immediate past Vice-President of the Council of Sections of the American Dental Education Association, and is a member of ADEA’s Commission for Change and Innovation in Dental Education. He is the current Treasurer of the American Association of Endodontists.
He is a Fellow of both the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He serves on the editorial boards of the International Endodontic Journal; Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Radiology, and Endodontics; and is an associate editor of the Journal of Endodontics. He has contributed to major texts in endodontics including the 8th ed. of Pathways of the Pulp, the 3rd ed. of Principles and Practice of Endodontics, the 5th edition of Endodontics, and the 3rd edition of Problem-Solving in Endodontics. His research interests are in the areas of instrumentation and obturation of root canal systems.
