Department of Restorative Sciences

The Department of Restorative Sciences at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry is responsible for both preclinical and clinical instruction of predoctoral students in the disciplines of operative dentistry, fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, dental implants, dental auxiliary utilization, dental materials, dental anatomy, occlusion and professional ethics.

Departmental faculty also educate postgraduate residents, offering a 36-month combined master’s degree and certificate program in advanced prosthodontics. The program provides residents with an integrated program of advanced didactic and clinical instruction in all phases of prosthodontics. Emphasis is placed on the basic sciences as they relate to daily prosthodontic practice as well as the need for research and its appreciation. The opportunity for a combined PhD and certificate program also is available.
