Department Overview
The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry provides instruction on preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children to dental hygiene, dental students and residents in the graduate pediatric dentistry specialty program.
The department has affiliations with other institutions that offer experiences outside the college including:
- Children’s Medical Center of Dallas (CMC),
- Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSR),
- Community Dental Care Clinic (CDC), and
- Baylor – Our Children’s House (BOCH).
Undergraduate Teaching
Faculty are involved in didactic training of dental hygiene and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year dental students. This is accomplished using a small-group format. In addition, part time and full-time faculty are responsible for clinical instruction of dental and dental hygiene students at A&M Baylor College of Dentistry and at the CDC clinics.
