Research Interests
- Effects of estrogen on temporomandibular dysfunction and neuronal excitability.
- Intracellular Ca2+ imaging with fluorescent dyes and laser scanning confocal microscopy.
- Voltageclamp and patchclamp studies on the properties and modulation of ion channels in excitable and nonexcitable membranes, e.g., dissociated gastric smooth muscle cells, dissociated calvarial osteoblasts, and the pheochromocytoma clonal cell line (PC-12).
- The effects of general anesthetic agents on cytoplasmic calcium signalling using fluorescent calcium indicator dyes.
