One of those habits is working out and
drinking lots of bottled water!

of Dental Health Check.

PEOPLE WORKING OUT (VOICE-OVER)
Many people who work out consume
large amounts of bottled water, water that
contains little if any fluoride.
SUPER: Monica Croslin :10-15 (“It tastes better. And now I only pretty
Dental Patient much drink bottled water. If I drink tap
water, it’s just not the same.”)
TWO-SHOT Monica Croslin improves her health
by exercising but may not be getting
enough fluoride to prevent cavities.
MONICA CROSLIN (“I drink bottled water for convenience
purposes.”)

Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by
strengthening tooth enamel. Most American CITY WATER PLANT cities add fluoride to the water supply.
PERSON GETTING SOFT DRINK A diet high in sugar and acid also raises the risk of adult cavities.
SUPER: Dr. Sergio Navarro :45-50 (“The Latino, we love sugar, so we
Dentist definitely will have more cavities than the
rest of the population. That’s probably
because of all the sugar that we eat.”)
TWO-SHOT Dr. Sergio Navarro says among his adult patients, tooth decay remains a
serious problem.

DR. NAVARRO (“So if I see my patients have more
cavities every six months they come,
