Dental Sealants

I was wondering if you ever heard of dental sealer. It is supposed to prevent cavities once it is applied. I heard about this on the news on tv.

Dental sealants are materials dentists use to prevent decay (cavities) on the biting surface of the teeth.  I recommend applying sealants to children's permanent molars.  Since the first permanent molar erupts by age 7 or 8 years, dentists generally recommend making the first application of sealants then.
