Baylor College of Dentistry's nationally syndicated television oral health news report, "Dental Health Check," airs locally each Monday during WFAA-TV's 6 a.m. and noon newscasts. In addition, "Dental Health Check" segments are now rebroadcast several times a day on the Texas Cable News Network.

"Dental Health Check" is available on BCD's Web site as well.  Visit the site for scripts and information about the latest segments. Hosted by Dr. Linda Niessen (BCD), the report's recent topics include:

• "Bleach Sensitivity" featuring Dr. Tammy Weyandt (BCD '98). Bleaching your teeth so you have a whiter smile can cause some sensitivity, especially when you drink your morning cup of coffee. Should you worry about it?
• "Over 60 Ortho" featuring Dr. Mark Ozier. Is it ever too late to get braces on your teeth? Dentists say no. In fact, business is booming in orthodontic offices among patients over age 60.
• "Patient Comfort" featuring Dr. Ann Willison (BCD '94). Forty million Americans share one fear in common. They are afraid of the dentist or dental treatment.

Baylor College of Dentistry is featured in each issue of Dateline, a bimonthly newsletter published by the Dallas County Dental Society. In addition to news and feature articles, college information and highlights are reported in the "Baylor Byline" column.

The article appeared in the March 13 edition of Rockdale Reporter in Rockdale, Texas, and the March 19 edition of The Texan Express in Goliad, Texas. BCD also was mentioned in "Hometown Health: Bulimia Nervosa and Oral Health." The article appeared in the March 19 edition of The Texan Express in Goliad.

Dr. Stanton Cobb (BCD '83 and BCD) was featured in "Parallels persist in lifelong friends' lives." The article appeared in the April 13 edition of the Fort Worth Star Telegram in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Gerald Glickman (BCD) was featured in "People on the move." The article appeared in the March 28 edition of The Dallas Business Journal.

Former BCD board member Brenda Jackson was featured in "Women of Excellence, A look back." The article appeared in the April edition of WE – Women's Enterprise in Dallas.

Dr. David Jackson (BCD '78) was featured in "A Closer Look: The 2003 Election."  The article appeared in the March 26 edition of The Rockwall County News in Rockwall, Texas. Jackson also was featured in "Candidates eye RISD's finances." The article appeared in The Rockwall County News in Royse City, Texas.

Dr. Dan Jones (BCD '89 and BCD) was featured in "City Beat." The article appeared in the March 21 edition of Mexia Daily News in Mexia, Texas.

Dr. Bruce Lamond (BCD '97) was featured in "New dentist takes over." The article appeared in the March 27 edition of Duncanville Today in Duncanville, Texas.
