Baylor College of Dentistry's February blood drive was a rousing success, according to Sharon Limes, college nurse in the Student Health Clinic.
Sponsored by Delta Sigma Delta and BCD Health Services, the blood drive met its goal of 80 units, a 17 percent increase over the October drive. In addition, 95 people participated (an increase of 15
percent) and 35 marrow registrations were received.
"Kudos go to fraternity members for their tireless quest to increase participation," Limes said. "Special thanks are extended to Tanya Pierce (D3), DSD president, and Jackie Vo
(D4), DSD community service chair, who coordinated the event."
The college's next blood drive is tentatively planned for June. Watch for details.
