Presentations: Samer Al-Aqeel and Dr. Jason Griggs attended the 104th Annual Meeting & Exposition of the American Ceramic Society April 28 - May 1 in Nashville, Tenn. Biomedical Sciences Presentations: Dr. Lynne Opperman was invited to present "Regulation of Craniofacial Skeletal Morphogenesis and Growth" to the Department of Biological and Earth Sciences at Texas A&M University – Commerce in Commerce, Texas, April 3. On April 22, she gave an invited presentation on "Tissue Interactions and Growth Factors Regulate Suture Morphogenesis" at the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in Bethesda, Md. Opperman also was invited to present "Factors Regulating Craniofacial Skeletal Development" to the Dallas Section of the North American Division during the International Association for Dental Research seminar series at Baylor College of Dentistry May 1. Diagnostic Sciences Presentations: Dr. Byron W. Benson presented two continuing dental education programs: "Review of Panoramic Anatomy" and "Principles of Radiographic Interpretation and Differential Diagnosis." They were part of the April 8 Oral Pathology, Oral Diagnosis, and Oral Medicine course sponsored by the Dental Activity at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Arlington, Va. Periodontics Presentation: Dr. Ibtisam Al-Hashimi was invited to present "The Challenges of Salivary Gland Dysfunction and Dry Mouth in Dental Practice" to the University of Ankara Faculty of Dentistry in Ankara,
Turkey, May 16. Her presentation was scheduled during the 40th anniversary of the founding of the dental school. |
