Student Research Group hosts dinner
The Baylor College of Dentistry Student Research
Group hosted its annual dinner recognizing students and mentors who participated in the Short-term Training Program in 2002-2003. Held April 29, the event recognized achievements and presented awards
from BCD Research Day (reported in the May issue of the Baylor Dental Record Online).
Representatives from Caulk/Dentsply were on hand to recognize Michael Kaiser (D3) who won the Student Clinician Award. He will represent BCD at
the American Dental Association meeting in October.
In addition, third-year dental students Karina Marr, Andi McPhillips, Joe Rawlins and James VandeBerg were selected to represent BCD at the Hinman National
Student Research Symposium in October. VandeBerg and third-year dental students Adam Benham, Edie Crouch and Tammeka Nickleberry represented BCD at the
Texas Dental Association meeting in May, where Crouch received a third-place award in the dental student table clinic category.
