DCDS taps BCD faculty, student for leadership

The Dallas County Dental Society announced its 2003-2004 officers and board of directors May 15. Two Baylor College of Dentistry faculty members and two BCD students are serving on the board.

Dr. Wayne Woods (BCD '88), first-year orthodontics resident, is a director and Kevin Potts (D4) is the BCD student member. Dr. Linda Niessen, clinical professor in restorative sciences, is Southwest Dental Conference chair-elect; Dr. Jacqueline Plemons (BCD '86, '89), associate professor of periodontics, is Dateline editor.

DCDS is part of the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association network, representing one of the largest component dental societies in the United States with membership of more than 1,300 area dentists. The society also sponsors the Southwest Dental Conference, which is one of the largest dental meetings in the country.
