Dr. Ron Woody, professor and director of graduate
prosthodontics in restorative sciences, is the new director of dental implant curriculum at Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. James Cole (BCD '75), BCD dean, made the appointment recently in conjunction with
Dr. Dean Hudson, associate professor and interim chair of restorative sciences.
In a letter to faculty, Dr. Charles Berry (BCD '73), associate dean for academic services, and Dr. Amp Miller (BCD '73, '80), director of curriculum in
academic services, said: "Dental implants are fast becoming an integral part of contemporary restorative dentistry. The implant curriculum
at BCD has continued to expand over the years in both the graduate and predoctoral programs. In the near future, the college wants to continue this expansion so that
eventually all predoctoral students will have the opportunity to restore an implant." Woody will coordinate the curriculum, administrative and physical plant changes to facilitate implant expansion at the college.

What my colleagues say about me: "Ron has provided invaluable input to the Department of Periodontics in support of graduate training objectives for the residency.
His experience, wisdom and counsel have provided insight into interdisciplinary approaches, maximizing educational outcomes," said Dr. Bill Hallmon, professor and
