Other News: Benson was an examiner at the annual specialty certification examination given by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Nov. 10-13 in San Antonio. He serves on the
organization's board of directors.
Benson participated in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology's annual session Nov. 13-17, also in San Antonio. He is the academy's immediate past-president and sits on its executive
council.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Pharmacology
Presentations: Dr. Uwe Frohberg was invited to speak at the annual meeting of La Asociacion y Colegio de Cirugia Bucal y Maxilfacial de Nuevo Leon Oct. 18-19 in Monterrey, Mexico. He lectured
on immediate implant placement in extraction sites, local and distant myocutaneous flaps for facial reconstruction, bone grafting techniques, principles of facial plastic surgery, the role of orthognathic
surgery in obstructive sleep apnea, and distraction osteogenis in neonates with Pierre-Robin sequence.
Dr. Sam Taylor presented "Drug/Drug Interaction and Dental Drugs" to the Fort Worth District Dental Society Nov. 12 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Boltchi also presented "The Regenerative Management of Marginal Tissue Recession" during the DGZMK annual meeting Oct. 4. On Nov. 9, he presented "Esthetic Periodontal Treatment in the U.S.A."
at the Periodontology Symposium of the Swiss Society of Periodontology in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr. William Hallmon presented a two-day continuing education program on periodontics to the Army General Dentistry Residency Program at Fort Bragg, N.C., Nov. 14-15.
Dr. Terry Rees presented two seminars at the American Academy of Periodontology meeting in New Orleans. On Oct. 2, he presented "Controversies in Oral Medicine." On Oct. 3, he joined Dr. Donald
Adams to present "Progress in American Board of Periodontology Certification."
Also on Oct. 2, Rees served as area moderator for an interactive teledentistry seminar titled "Implementing New Strategies for Treating Periodontal Disease: A Systematic Approach."

Other News: Drs. Chris Beninger, Stanton Cobb and Dean Hudson attended the Conference of Operative Dental Educators' annual meeting Nov. 6-8 at the University of Mississippi Health Science
Center in Jackson, Miss. The meeting agenda covered direct and indirect esthetic restorations. BCD will host the meeting in October 2003.
