Presentation: Dr. Larry Bellinger was the co-author of a presentation titled "Meal Patterns in Rats After Systemic Manzindol and Prazosin." Public Health Sciences Other News: In December, the department hosted the quarterly meeting of the Ryan White All Titles Council. Representatives from BCD, the AIDS Education and Training Centers, the Dallas County Health Department and the Parkland Health and Hospital System attended the meeting. Interagency coordination of comprehensive health and support services was discussed. In addition, policy and funding updates and related grant opportunities were presented. Restorative Sciences Publication: Dr. Stanton Cobb's article, "Benefits of Teaching in a Third World Setting," was published in the fall 2002 issue of Today's Christian Doctor. He was asked to write the article on behalf of Global
Health Outreach, a relief organization that sponsors 38 trips around the world annually. The article featured Cobb's involvement with teaching as part of a team of doctors and residents from the plastic and
reconstructive surgery department of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. |
