BCD students make presentations
Friday, January 31, 2003

D3 students made Tooth Talk presentations to students at one private and four public elementary schools in five Texas cities recently including Dallas, Garland, Irving, Richardson and Sachse. Dental students also worked with middle school and high school visitors to Baylor College of Dentistry in 18 Project Dental Awareness Programs.

Dental and dental hygiene students provided dental exams, oral cancer screenings and dental health education at two health fairs in Dallas and Mesquite. Supervising dentists for these events were Dr. Loulou Moore (BCD '93, '94), assistant professor of restorative sciences; and Dr. John Nelson, retired associate dean for clinical services and professor emeritus of public health sciences.
