BCD students make presentations

During December, third-year dental students made Tooth Talk presentations to students at five schools in Dallas; Garland, Texas; and Mesquite, Texas. They also participated in two Project Dental Awareness programs.

By the Roots was presented to children at elementary schools in three Texas

school districts including Florence, Irving and Richardson.

Dental and dental hygiene students provided dental exams, oral cancer screenings and dental health education at two health fairs in Dallas. In addition, they provided dental services at John Peter Smith Dental Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Loulou Moore (BCD '93, '94), assistant professor of restorative sciences, was the supervising dentist at these events.
