New BCD senators elected

Four BCD faculty members were elected to three-year terms on the Faculty Senate of The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center.

Dr. Mark Gannaway

Dr. Lynne Opperman

Three new BCD representatives include: Dr. Allen Honeyman, associate professor of biomedical sciences; Dr. John Regan, assistant professor of endodontics; and Dr. Mark Gannaway (BCD '81), clinical assistant professor of restorative sciences, who will serve as alternate. In addition, Dr. Lynne Opperman, assistant professor of biomedical sciences, will represent the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

They will join the following BCD representatives whose terms are ongoing: Dr. Larry Bellinger, professor of biomedical sciences; Dr. Byron Benson, professor of oral and maxillofacial radiology in diagnostic sciences; Dr. David Grogan (BCD '81, '86), assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery/pharmacology; Dr. Tom McKinney (BCD '68), associate professor of restorative sciences; Dr. Franciso Rivera-Hidalgo, associate professor and director of research in periodontics; and Dr. Carolyn Wilson (BCD '77, '81), associate professor of pediatric dentistry.
