BCD students make presentations
The Baylor College of Dentistry Department of Public Health Sciences' "Community Connection" initiative provided outreach programs and services in Dallas during the past month. Fourth-year dental and senior
dental hygiene students provided dental exams, oral cancer screenings and dental health education at three corporate and four community health fairs.
Supervising dentists for these events were Dr. T.C. Lyon, professor emeritus of public health sciences; Dr. John Nelson, retired associate dean for clinical services and professor emeritus of diagnostic
sciences; Dr. Patricia Skur, assistant professor of public health sciences; and Dr. Torsten Steinig, graduate endodontics resident.
