Dr. John Goodman addresses an AAFP Meeting

Dr. John T. Goodman (BCD '68), clinical associate professor of graduate prosthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry, is the new president of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. His one-year term began in February.

AAFP is dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, truth and competency in research, teaching and clinical practice of crown and bridge dentistry. As the leading national voice for the discipline of fixed prosthodontics, the

academy's purpose is to achieve, by mutual study and cooperation, activities reflecting a high and ethical standard of practice as well as teaching and research in the art and science of fixed prosthodontics.

Goodman's goal is to encourage continued excellence in the philosophy and practice of the discipline. "What a privilege!" he said. "I am honored to have this opportunity to serve the academy and to work with those whom I respect."

A BCD faculty member for more than 20 years, Goodman also has a private practice in Arlington, Texas. An AAFP member since 1977, he has served the organization through various committees, on its board of directors and as vice president.
