It’s not too late to join a team for the third annual SMILEWalk Sept. 27! SMILEWalk is a 5K fundraising walk at White Rock Lake that benefits the Children’s Oral Health Center. Once again, HSC-Baylor College of Dentistry has both a faculty and staff team and a student team participating. The staff and faculty team co-captains, Dr. Anthony Bolin and Lisa Harper Mallonee, and the student team captain, Faye Haggard, say it’s not too late to join a team!
There is no fee to participate, but walkers are encouraged to raise funding from family, friends and associates in support of the Children’s Oral Health Center. Walkers raising $100 or more will receive a SMILEWalk event T-shirt and a blue wristband that says, “I support oral health for kids.”
Interested staff and faculty can contact Bolin at firstname.lastname@example.org or Harper Mallonee at Ext. 8914 or email@example.com.
Students who want to get involved can contact Faye Haggard at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Residents and faculty: donate your old water baths or parallometers for current students to use. The restorative sciences department is asking faculty and residents to donate their water baths and Ney surveyors (parallometers) they used during school so that current students can use them in the preclinical removable prosthetics course. The items are tax deductible and donors will receive a receipt for each item donated. Dr. Sandra McCarthy is taking the donated items and will provide the receipts. For more information, contact her at email@example.com.
