BMS leadership changes
Dr. Paul Dechow
Dr. Kathy Svoboda
Leaders in the Department of Biomedical Sciences are adjusting their responsibilities to pursue new goals.
Effective Sept. 1, Dr. Paul Dechow assumed the responsibilities of vice chair of the department. He will now work with department chair Dr. Rena D’Souza as the second in command to develop new initiatives for the department.
Dechow formerly served as director of the department’s graduate program, filling that role since its inception.
The new graduate program director is Dr. Kathy Svoboda, also effective Sept. 1. Svoboda has relinquished her position as vice chair in order to lead the graduate program in new directives.
The biomedical sciences department welcomes Dechow and Svoboda to their new positions and is grateful for their contributions in previous roles.
