BMS lands 'BEST' grant
Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry has become one of only seven dental and craniofacial research institutions in the nation to be awarded a special NIH research grant as part of the federal economic stimulus package known as ARRA – the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Ruth Swords memorial
Friends, family and dental hygiene alumnae are coming together to honor Dr. Ruth Swords with a memorial scholarship that bears her name. Swords, a professor emeritus and former director of the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene, passed away this summer at age 92.
Ortho faculty lead meeting
HSC-BCD faculty members figured prominently in the 38th international biennial meeting of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists Nov. 5-9 in San Antonio.

The Dallas Dental Hygienists’ Society hosted a “meet and mingle” party Oct. 22 for its mentor program.
