Young Investigator
Dr. Baichun Jiang, a research assistant in the biomedical sciences department, won a Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research at the group’s annual meeting in Montreal Sept. 12-16.The award included a $1,000 honorarium and a plaque. Part of the honorarium helped finance Jiang’s attendance at the annual meeting.
Jiang's presentation was “In vivo knockdown of GEP, a novel growth factor in cartilage, led to defects in cartilage and osteoarthritis.” Dr. Jerry Feng, professor in biomedical sciences, is his mentor.
