Solomon in ACD

Dr. Eric SolomonDr. Eric S. Solomon, executive director of institutional research for Texas A&M Health Science Center, was formally inducted as a fellow of the American College of Dentists during the group’s annual meeting Oct. 16 in San Antonio.

Organized in 1920, the ACD is the oldest national honorary organization for dentists. Only 3.5 percent of dentists in the United States are ACD fellows. The group’s mission is to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism and leadership in dentistry. Fellows help identify and respond to issues affecting dentistry, oral health and society.

Membership in the ACD is through nomination only. Solomon was nominated by Drs. Patricia Blanton and Hilton Israelson, both periodontists in the Dallas area.

Solomon joined HSC-Baylor College of Dentistry in 1992. He was appointed to head institutional research for the Health Science Center in 2000 and was promoted to professor in HSC-BCD’s Department of Public Health Sciences in 2003.
