Research Day

Research groupHSC-Baylor College of Dentistry’s 36th annual Research Day was held April 8 on the college’s sixth floor. Dental student researchers presented oral and poster presentations, which were evaluated by a team of faculty judges. Dental hygiene students presented table clinics at the event, also judged by a faculty team. The winning students are listed below:

DDS poster presentations:

In other student research news, Matt Brown, D3, received the ADA/Dentsply Student Clinician Award and will represent HSC-BCD at the 2009 American Dental Association meeting in Honolulu.

The following students were chosen to represent HSC-BCD at the 2009 Hinman National Student Research Symposium in Memphis, Tenn.: Jonathan Blansett, Tamara Carrell,
Jessica Lee, Kelly Martinez, Ben Morgan and Aja Thompson. All are D2 students except D1 student Kelly Martinez.
