LeeAnne Nelson, senior dental hygiene student at HSC-BCD and Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association president, received the Nicole Eusebio Memorial Service Scholarship from the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association at the Texas SADHA annual session Feb. 9 in Austin. More than half of the college’s dental hygiene students attended the session.Nelson was selected to receive the scholarship based on her participation in community preventive oral health care throughout Dallas, a written essay describing her ideas for implementing future dental hygiene community projects and her GPA.
