Glickman elected president of AAE

Dr. Gerald GlickmanDr. Gerald Glickman, professor and chair of endodontics, assumed the president-elect office of the American Association of Endodontists during the group’s 2008 Annual Session April 9 – 12 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Glickman has been actively involved in the activities of the association for a number of years, serving as AAE treasurer (2005-2007) and AAE vice president (2007-2008). He also has participated in the work of various committees, including Public and Professional Affairs, Educational Affairs, Research and Scientific Affairs, Continuing Education and Applied Strategic Planning. Additionally, he played an integral role in planning numerous annual sessions, serving as chair of oral and poster research presentations and table clinics from 1995-1997.

In addition to his leadership in the AAE, Glickman has been a dedicated diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics since 1987. He has provided guidance and support to the specialty’s certifying board as past president (2002-2003) and director (1997-2003). His professional involvement extends to several other dental organizations as well, including the American Dental Education Association.
