Dr. Jacqueline Plemons
Dr. Jacqueline Plemons, professor in periodontics, was recognized for 20 years of service to Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry.
An alumna of both the college’s dental program and its periodontics graduate program, Plemons has many memories at the college.
“Technically I have ‘grown up’ within the walls of Baylor College of Dentistry,” she says. “I started as a dental student in 1982 at the age of 21, and I am grateful for the opportunities Baylor has afforded me.”
In addition to teaching, Plemons serves as assistant director of the college’s Stomatology Center, which is devoted to the diagnosis, treatment and research of unusual oral diseases. There she provides clinical care to patients and instruction to graduate students in oral medicine and periodontics.
Plemons is an avid gardener and loves to travel. She has an adopted daughter, Marin, from Guatemala.
“She has been the greatest joy in my life,” Plemons says.
