Two induction ceremonies, Texas dental schools joint reception make for Wolinsky’s big week during ADA Annual Session

Dean Lawrence Wolinsky had a full agenda during the American Dental Association Annual Session in San Francisco.

First on the list was his Oct. 18 induction as a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the oldest major honorary organization in the profession, with roots dating back to 1920. The next day, he was inducted as a fellow of the International College of Dentists, an organization more than 12,000 members strong, also by invitation only.

Afterward, it was time to mingle at the Texas dental schools joint alumni reception at the San Francisco W Hotel. The reception, a longtime tradition among Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry, UT School of Dentistry at Houston and the UT Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School, was revived this year.
