A day in their scrubs

Hometown: Dallas, born and raised
Dental school survival strategy: The biggest thing is just not comparing yourself to other people, doing your thing, and being the best future dentist you can be. Don’t let other people’s stuff bog you down.
Most productive time of day: Nighttime, 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Best way to unwind after a long day in the clinic or lab: This sounds really weird, but I love cleaning. I like to make my place a mess during test weeks, and when I’m done with those weeks, I can clean it.
Favorite energy food: Blueberries — or Coke Zero. Coke Zero is for a regular day, and regular Coca-Cola is for when you’ve had a really bad day or week!
Goal after graduation: I want to be married and start a family, and I want to be at a practice where I can learn a lot from the dentist, and where we understand each other and have a good vibe going; just to feel comfortable at the practice I’m at.
What people may not know about you: Most people don’t know that I like to knit. I usually knit baby blankets because a lot of my friends have babies. I also like cooking and baking. If I wasn’t going to dental school, I’d probably be a pastry chef. I like baking truffles and cupcakes — anything to do with chocolate.
