If you filled a wish list request for a Dallas child in need, we owe you a big thank you.
Wish list cards for the 2012 Toy Drive ran out quickly, and that’s not a bad thing.
For 15 years, the college has participated in the effort, which benefits Community Partners of Dallas, a nonprofit which gives the gifts to children who are under the care of Dallas County Child Protective Services.
Momentum was on the dental school’s side, as every one of the 133 children’s wish list cards was spoken for by Nov. 29. What’s more, the college filled 10 percent more wishes in 2012 than in 2011.
The total number of wish list requests for the 2012 Toy Drive was staggering: Approximately 5,000 abused and neglected children’s wishes were filled because of the generosity of North Texas individuals, businesses and organizations, and Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry proudly played a part in that effort.
