Emeritus faculty recognized
Fifty-three emeritus faculty members are recognized on a new commemorative plaque installed Dec. 14 in the sixth floor lobby on the wall near the atrium elevators. Designed to be perpetual, the plaque has plenty of room to add future honorees.
Amputees from Haiti visit Dallas
December brought the precious gift of dental care to a group of young men from Haiti visiting the United States as members of the newly formed Haiti National Amputee Soccer Team.

Oral lichen planus group enhances webinars, accepts donations
The International Oral Lichen Planus Support Group hosts live online webinar discussions several times a year. On Jan. 13, two TAMHSC-BCD faculty members—Dr. Nancy Burkhart, adjunct associate professor of periodontics, and Dr. Terry Rees, director of the college’s Stomatology Center and professor of periodontics—hosted the most recent session.
