The Baylor College of Dentistry Alumni Association hosted its 2011 Homecoming Reception during the Southwest Dental Conference on Jan. 14. The event was held at the Adolphus Hotel’s Grand Ballroom.
During the reception, the association honored Dr. Frank L. Higginbottom ’71 as its 2010 Distinguished Alumnus. It also offered congratulations on the special anniversaries of alumni from 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2006.

Hearty congratulations are offered to Tonja Jones, administrative assistant I in diagnostic sciences, upon her marriage to David Adams. They were wed Oct. 23 in a formal ceremony in Mesquite, Texas. The two met in August 2009 at TAMHSC-BCD when Adams worked as a contractor in the sterilization facility across from Jones’ office.
Condolences are offered to Dr. Richard Ceen, professor and director in orthodontics, and his family on the death of his mother, Ida Greenberg. She passed away Dec. 7. A memorial service was held Dec. 10 at Weinstein’s Funeral Home in Chicago.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Willie Mae Powell, sister of Janet Henry, dental assistant in public health sciences. Powell passed away Dec. 5. A memorial service was held Dec. 10 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas.
