5th Annual SMILE Walk
Walkers from the dental school included senior dental hygiene students Madeline Keifer, Jordan Lewis, Hilary Perkins, Taylor Sanson and Lisa Swinney. Also participating were dental hygiene faculty members Dr. Janice DeWald and Lisa Mallonee, who was accompanied by her husband, Scott Mallonee.
All proceeds from the event benefit the nonprofit CDC and its mission to provide dental care to low-income, uninsured children, seniors, HIV patients and the homeless who have no other dental resources. Bonnie Robinson, communications specialist in communications & institutional advancement, received a trophy for being the event’s top fundraiser. DeWald fared well in the prize drawings, winning the grand prize of a one-year membership to the Verandah Club and Spa.
