TDA recognizes Huff
The Texas Dental Association recently honored Dr. Gene Huff, clinical assistant professor of pediatric dentistry.
Huff was one of several dentists who received the 50 Year Award from the TDA during the organization's annual meeting in San Antonio on May 8. The award is given in honor of dentists who have been actively involved with the organization for 50 years.
Huff is a 1960 graduate of Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry. He also received his master's degree in pediatric dentistry from the college in 1962 - the first class to graduate from the pediatric postdoctoral program.
"It was so nice to be honored by the TDA," says Huff. "I think it is very important to be a part of organized dentistry if we want any say in how we can take better care of our patients."
Huff attended the award ceremony with his wife, Gwen. The couple later celebrated a personal milestone on May 28: their 55th wedding anniversary.
