Seattle Study Club
Seattle in the Rio Grande
Four alumni, all living and practicing in South Texas, recently have formed one of the largest components of the Seattle Study Club.
The Seattle Study Club is a network of more than 215 dental specialists, all with their own study clubs, from the United States, Canada and Australia. According to the Seattle Study Club Web site, the clubs are dedicated to the advancement of team treatment planning and total case management as the ultimate tool for achieving ideal comprehensive care. They also have committed themselves to excellence in their profession and in the management of their practices.
The Baylor College of Dentistry graduates managing the Seattle Study Club for the Rio Grande Valley include lead organizer Dr. Gary Schwarz '78 and advisers Dr. Steve Shepard '77, Dr. James Burkholder '81 and Dr. Roy York '74. This South Texas branch of the club currently boasts more than 40 members.
The group recently provided an Academy of General Dentistry approved PACE program consisting of a treatment planning session involving a complex orthognathic restorative case with dental implants.
Alumni in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas interested in joining the group are encouraged to contact Burkholder at firstname.lastname@example.org .
