Reich receives Linda DeVore Scholarship
Marlaina Reich, clinical assistant professor in dental hygiene at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry is the latest recipient of the American Dental Education Association/Sigma Phi Alpha Linda DeVore Scholarship.
The $1,000 scholarship, which was presented during the 2010 ADEA Annual Session in Washington, D.C. in March, is awarded to students pursuing degrees in allied dental education.
The scholarship recognizes the memory and the 30-year dental education career of Linda Rubinstein DeVore, who was active in dental hygiene education, scholarship, and public service.
Reich, who joined the dental hygiene faculty in 2008, earned an associate's degree in dental hygiene from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Mich. She completed her bachelor's degree at Siena Heights University also in Battle Creek. Reich is scheduled to graduate in May with a master's degree in dental hygiene education and plans to return to Michigan to teach dental hygiene.
