Mark your calendar and make plans to enjoy the Baylor College of Dentistry Alumni Association General Membership Meeting & Reception during the Texas Dental Association Annual Session. The event is May 7 at the Marriott Rivercenter hotel in San Antonio. The general membership meeting starts at 6 p.m. and the reception begins at 6:30 p.m.
The Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry commencement ceremony for the Class of 2010 will occur on May 27 at 7 p.m. at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. The keynote speaker is Dr. Kelton T. Stewart '08, assistant professor of orthodontics and oral facial genetics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
The annual required Quality Assurance/Risk Management Meeting is set for June 8 from 1-3 p.m. for all clinical faculty, staff, residents, dental and dental hygiene students. The meeting is in Room 605 and televised to Room 134. Faculty and registered dental assistants who attend will receive 2 hours continuing education credit. Questions? Sympathy is extended to the family of Dr. Gene Huff, clinical assistant professor of pediatric dentistry, upon the death of his son, Perry Huff, who passed away March 17. Services were held March 20 in Whitesboro.
Condolences to the family of Lisa Harper Mallonee, associate professor, Caruth School of Dental Hygiene, upon the death of her mother Sandra Harper, who passed away on March 28. Services for Mrs. Harper were held March 31 in Arapahoe, N.C.
Condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Mary "Toby" Perkins, former human resources administrator in human resources, who passed away March 23. Her services were held March 27 in Pulaski, Tenn.
Dr. Jeff Watson '73 of Albuquerque, NM passed away on March 27. Services were held on April 9 in Albuquerque. Sympathies are extended to his family, friends and colleagues in the dental community.
