The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest award presented by the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry Alumni Association. It serves to honor alumni who have contributed distinguished service to the college and/or the dental profession. Eligible candidates must be alumni of Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry.
Nominations are solicited from the alumni, faculty and staff and are reviewed by the selection committee. The selection committee is composed of the dean, the secretary/treasurer of the BCD Alumni Association board of directors, and one representative each from the 50- and 25-year reunion classes. The award is only presented if the Selection Committee determines that there is a suitable candidate for this honor.
The award is presented during Homecoming festivities. The recipient is announced at the BCD Alumni Association's Annual Business Meeting/Reception. The recipient is listed, along with past recipients, on the association's Wall of Honor.
Using the Nomination Form, nominations should be submitted to the college's Office of Advancement, Communications & Alumni Relations by using the online form, or via mail, fax or e-mail (see form for contact information) no later than March 28.
Please note: Nominations received after the deadline will be deferred for review in the subsequent year.
