Fluoride levels in water vary from (essentially) zero to upwards of 7 parts per million (mg / L) fluoride. The U.S. Public health service recommends that fluoride levels in community water supplies range from 0.7 to 1.2 parts per million. The best source for the type of information you are seeking is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I highly recommend the following resources: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/oh/flfact.htm The American Dental Association http://www.ada.org/consumer/fluoride/fl-menu.html The California Dental Association http://www.cda.org/public/pubhsrvc.html Jay D.
