Crowns

A while back I saw a news feature which spoke of a new milling machine that allows dentists to fashion and place a crown in just one visit. It has been a LONG ;>{O time since I have been to the dentist and so I feel that this machine could substantially reduce the number of visits to get my mouth back in shape.

The milling machine or Dental CAD-CAM is a clinical reality and is in use in some dental offices. This technology is not suitable for every dental office. It does allow an intraoral optical impression, computer design of a porcelain restoration (filling), milling and placement of the restoration in a single office visit. The technology does not apply to all teeth needing repair. This relatively new concept will likely become a more widely available application in the future. Contact the dental offices in your area regarding this restorative system.
