Adult Baby Tooth

I am 42 years old and have a baby eye tooth that never fell.  I notice it is changing color and has indentations.  Should I have it pulled, or should I wait until it falls on its own?  Will it affect the teeth next to it?

This tooth has probably not been lost because the permenent eye tooth is impacted on its side on the palate.  The baby tooth probably is fused to the surrounding bone at this point.  There are several options - you can have the baby tooth extracted and a bridge placed to replace it.  Eye teeth are very important for how your teeth slide over one another when you chew.  The other option is to extract the baby tooth and pull the impacted tooth into the space orthodontically.  These options have to be discussed with your dentist after the proper exam and x-rays have been taken.  Good luck!
