BCD to provide dental care at Mayor’s Back-to-School Fair
Dallas area school children will smile a little brighter this year with dental screenings and fluoride varnishes provided by Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry during the 14th annual Mayor’s Back-to-School Fair, Thursday, August 5 at Dallas’ Fair Park. The fair helps nearly 20,000 economically-disadvantaged children by addressing many of their school-related needs including school supplies, haircuts, immunizations and health screenings.
Volunteers are needed to staff the TAMHSC- Baylor College of Dentistry dental booth during the fair. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to sign up for two-hour shifts from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. To sign-up or for more information, contact the social services office at 214-828-8353.
